This Privacy Policy describes how Expense Tracker Buddy ("the App") handles your information. Our core philosophy is that your financial data is your business. We have engineered the App to process and store your data entirely on your device.
Expense Tracker Buddy is a local-only application. All data you enter into the App—including financial expenses, client names, mileage logs, and receipt images—is saved directly to your device's local storage.
We do not collect, transmit, or store your personal or financial data on external servers. * We do not require you to create an account.
We do not sell or share your data with third parties.
If you choose to use the "Export to CSV" feature, the App generates a file locally on your device, which you can then share or save using iOS's native sharing sheet at your own discretion.
The App requests access to your device's camera strictly for the purpose of scanning physical receipts and attaching them to your expense logs.
Images captured using the camera are stored securely within the App's local database on your device.
We do not upload, analyze, or transmit your photos to any external servers or cloud services.
The App requests permission to send you notifications to remind you to log your weekly expenses and mileage.
These reminders are scheduled locally on your device.
We do not use push notification servers or track your interaction with these reminders remotely.
If you have opted in to share crash data and analytics with developers in your iOS device settings, we may receive anonymous, aggregated crash reports directly from Apple. This data contains no personally identifiable financial information and is used solely to identify bugs and improve the App's stability.
Because your data is stored locally, its security relies on the security of your iOS device. We highly recommend protecting your device with a strong passcode and utilizing Face ID or Touch ID. If you delete the App from your device, all associated financial logs and receipt photos will be permanently deleted unless you have manually backed them up to your personal iCloud.
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. If any future updates require us to collect or transmit data differently, we will notify you and request your explicit consent before doing so.
